All vintage!…A Luna moped, Lungi and Bell bottom pants!

Not very often in the big cities of India you will see these three in a single frame. These are the remainders of an era bygone. A Luna moped, Lungi(sarong traditionally worn around the waist) and Bell bottom pants! The scene reminded me of classic movies of  70s and 80s. Though then the movies were all in color, I couldn’t resist from adding a vintage cinematic effect to this picture which is originally shot in Black and white!

Project 365: Day 57, Winter is coming…

Winter is coming… a family warms-up by a fire in Ahmedabad..

Take a night stroll in Ahmedabad and  you shall notice several people huddled-up by the road-side under a single blanket. Some also have the luxury of a make-shift fire-place. Winters are my favorite time,  I am not sure if those that live without a roof or wall share the same view.

Project 365: Day 56, Tilt-shift effect

A living organism, with organs for input, output and veins to allow the flow of energy and matter…

A view of a small non-descript street in Ahmedabad. Few years from now this street which has the houses of cardboard and paper recyclers along the right-side might not look the same. This runs parallel to the Bus Rapid Transport System(BRTS) of Ahmedabad, awarded and applauded world over. Along such a busy transport corridor, land prices are rising and developers are lining up to get a piece of the pie. Till then don’t feel lost and out-of-place if you wander into this little street. This is still in Ahmedabad.
